Imagine my surprise when I went to get in their heated pool only to find it was unheated. The desk told me it was because the number of people using the pool didn't justify turning on the heat. Really? Have they considered people aren't attempting to use it because it is too COLD? Worse than that, when I went to the front desk to register a complaint I was told that the way complaints were handled was that I would receive a survey AFTER my stay. No one ever asked what my complaint was or if it was something that could be handled during the 12 days I have left here. I can only assume that they are uninterested in knowing or handling issues while you are here. No way to run a service industry.   ~

I am getting married in just a few short days, and booking a block of hotel rooms here has been a NIGHTMARE! I have high expectations for Marriott properties, and when I began my booking process, I was satisfied, but as months have gone by things have gone down hill at a rapid speed. About two months ago I had guests calling me, saying that the hotel has been telling them they are completely sold out. Funny, that an almost 1000 room hotel is sold out when I have a block of rooms reserved, was informed there were no events going on that weekend, and that even if my entire block of rooms should be filled, they would still have plenty of space. I called my point of contact with no response, until TWO WEEKS later. I ended up going into the hotel to discuss with the front desk, and they explained that it could have been a mix up between the two months as the weekend of January 25 was completely booked. They assured me they would be more mindful, and this would not be an issue moving forward. Ironically, a few days ago I had someone else call with the same issue again (at this point this is not the first, second, third, or fourth person to call me with this same issue). I conference called with them to ensure they were given a room and asked for someone to give me a call back. That was four days ago, and I am still waiting. I cannot believe that this is how the NCED treats customers that are bringing so much business to their doors. It is absolutely astounding, and I truly wish that I had chosen a different hotel for my wedding guests. This may be a beautiful property, but their service is just disrespectful to say the least.   ~
